Dylan Vernall Its always a cool experience listening to Mimas songs. Such quirky - often dark and wierd lyrics; interesting song structures; great guitaring; and immersive soundscapes. Highly recommended Favorite track: Mac, Get Your Gear.

Mimas Denmark

Mimas is a furry kitten: Restless, picking fights and still lazy and patient at times. Always curious, trying to find out how things work. Never too calculated and neither too naïve, Mimas write guitar-oriented songs that often contain jazzy drums, longing trumpet and passionate shouting. Rock, pop, indie or jazz - whatever pleases this furry kitten. They dislike the taste of mice, however. ... more

Track Name: Treehouse
Scientists they found (in the ground, low, down, deep) a man who lost his fur (low, down, deep).

The robots won't stop.
Track Name: Mac, Get Your Gear
Mac, get your gear on. Let's visit Norway. They shot a dog and then they killed themselves. We found a monster and we brought it back. It imitates us and no one trusts anyone!

Mac, get that gear!

The fire's got the temperature up all over camp, it won't last for long. They sat (we sat) outside together and froze to death.
Track Name: Dads
The boy swam across one million rivers.
He didn't notice the gator who ate his arms and liver.

The mother invested in home-security.
The dad missed the money, and he'd beet her up pretty heavily.

The wife (the worries), the kids (the worries) and the payments for the cat and dog, no you're not getting a horse.

The smell (the worries), the sweat (the worries) and the deodorant (the worries). The doctors recommendations.

The friends (the worries), the smell even worse, even worse (the worries) than my armpits, armpits and the worries. And my armpits, armpits.
Track Name: Dr. Phils Retirement
They call him 'dirt-child', they call him names. He askes his parents 'Please won't you change?'

No, we won't. No we won't.

So tired, but glad. Our son is dead. Let's tell all of our friends.

'Good news to all, our son died last fall.'
Track Name: Keep Quiet
The sky turns red and he can't find his heart or lungs. He lost them when he realized his hands were full of black blood. He'd cut them off, smiling, and he mumbled 'that was a relief.' Insects started eating his hands while he cried a tear of joy.

The sound of high-pitch screaming echoed in the street, people turned their heads.

The crowd told her to keep it down, cause they don't care what happened to her love.
Track Name: Cats On Fire
The house attacked the animal from the backdoor by surprise. Then the animal attacked the man. And they all sat waiting for the bus that never came, to take them to the ER where the nurse was waiting with morphine, morphine, morphine.

Old men with their sticks (Pull that leash said the boy)
Smash the younger kids, kids, kids (Sound of joy and tears)
Their dad just stood and staired (The grass was nice and wet)
With his girls brains in his hair! Hair! Hair! (Animals, fur and hair! Hair! Hair!
Track Name: Beneath The Glad Sunbeam
This man, he opened a fast-food restaurant. At first he smiled, but then he got tired. Closed down the shop, fired all the staff. People got sick eating all that fat.

His hands smelled of meat and monotonous work. His son suffered from Downs-syndrom, but not as much as he. One day he made it to the headlines, horray! Horray! His son found him lying still. Eyes closed, smell; Horrid! Horrid!
